Alexander Gerner: Alexander Gerner is a theatre director, playright and researcher in philosophy based in Lisbon, Portugal and a full member of the CFCUL at the Universidade de Lisboa. Currently he is a Post-Doc Reasearcher in Philosophy at the CFCUL working on “Philosophy of Cognitive Enhancement” http://cognitiveenhancement.weebly.com/ inside Philosophy of Human Technology at the Centre of Philosophy of Science at the Science Faculty of the University of Lisbon. In 2012 Alexander Gerner received his PhD degree in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Lisbon on “Philosophical Investigations of Attention”. (fc. Springer =SAPERE). With Olga Pombo he co-edited books on Diagrammatology and Diagram Praxis (2010) and on Peirce’s concept of Abduction and the Process of Scientific Discovery (2007). ASASE is the first of two books on the cognitive and social foundation of the self Jorge Gonçalves: Jorge de Almeida Gonçalves was born in Lisbon, Portugal, on the 25th of April 1960. He graduated in Psychology (1988) and Philosophy (1997), both in Lisbon. He has a Masters degree in Philosophy (2002) and a PhD (2007) also in Philosophy. Between 1988 and 1999 he worked in Clinical Psychology. He currently works at Institute of Philosophy of Language (New University of Lisbon) and his current research interests are Consciousness and Self Studies, Philosophy of Psychology, Philosophy of Psychiatry, and Philosophy of Film.
